Agape, Love in Action
Agape is a Greek word that means self-sacrificial love, it transcends all other love with its unconditional nature placing the needs of others before ourselves. I (Theresa Mitchell, the founder of Agape Outreach Inc. working with the homeless and needy) have dedicated my life to unconditionally making a difference in the world and hopefully inspiring a few others along the way. This podcast, Agape, Love in Action delves into the lives of people that are making a difference and unpacks what keeps them inspired to help others even when it hurts. If you give too much or have questions on how to shift from a job to a life of making a difference then this podcast is for you. If you are keen to start a charity or help people professionally in any field, then this podcast is for you. Every week we will have another amazing story of someone making a difference in the world. Ordinary to Extraordinary
Helen thinks she is an ordinary nurse, yet she recently returned from the war in Ukraine, she was there after the earthquake in Nepal, as well as most of the major disasters over the last decade. Helen also advocates and speaks globally on women's and indigenous rights, putting this with her lifetime accomplishments like climbing to the Everest base camp makes her an extraordinary woman.
