Becoming a Career Overnight

Theresa Mitchell, Kylie Mowbray-Allen Season 2 Episode 17

Kylie Mowbray-Allen is the founder of Hello Media, she is out there working a business, looking after a family, and giving back.  As with most people, you don't get a chance to look behind the front that we put out there to be seen, and often there is so much more that people are having to deal with.

Kylie's husband broke his neck playing rugby in 2007, resulting in him being paralysed from the neck down ( C4/5 quadriplegic).  For the last 15 years not only has Kylie been running a business and supporting a family but she has been holding everything together after her husband's accident.

In this case, the tragic life experience has made them stronger. Kylie and her husband are doing voluntary projects together and are passionate about paying it forward and helping the lives of those who find themselves in tough times.

Kylie has a huge heart to help in the disability accessibility field. She dreams of a one-place stop for disability aids that suit different levels of ability and a directory that includes detailed accessibility within venues for travel.

Kylie highlights the many gaps in the system that fail people with a disability and she has the answers to start really making a difference in accessibility.
